Students Rules and Regulations
Students must meet the following conditions:
Students under the aged of 18 (eighteen) must give notice to their parents or legal guardian(s) of their intention to withdraw. Evidence of this notice must be provided at the time of withdrawal.
Application for withdrawal must be made in writing to the student’s academic office and must be approved.
Accomplished Record Application Form for Transfer of school.
Submission of completed Clearance from all departments or offices concerned.
Surrender of Student Identity Card.
STUDENTS RULES & REGULATIONS
To maintain a minimum discipline in partner Institute, it is compulsory to set-up standard rules & regulations for the students to follow. We have enclosed some of the sample of points, which can be considered while you are setting up your Institute’s Rules & Regulations for the students.
Payment of Fees
All registration fees are not refundable.
All monthly instalment fees for all courses must be made by the 7th of each month.
Cheque payments should be made payable to “Genetic Computer School.
Examination
Each student must have an adequate attendance before being allowed to sit for an examination. Eg : Full-time: 95%, Part-time: 75%.
All efforts will be made by the partner Institute to arrange for the registration of students to sit for the examination. However no blame can be made / attached to the partner Institute if by reason of wilful suppression or omission of essential particulars or other reasons the student is refused to sit / enter for his / by an examining body.
The partner Institute reserves the right to withhold Examination results, Diploma / Certificate / Transcript should a student fail to pay the total course fees.
Examination results, Diploma / Certificate / Transcript will only be released once the students has paid up all outstanding debt plus a late fee.
Punctuality
Partner Institute should make sure that students be punctual and attentive for all classes. Late comers will be required to sign-in at the Reception Book. The student should be required to give an explanation for coming to class late. Students, who are late for more than 10 (ten) minutes, would not be allowed to enter the classroom.
Termination Of Studentship
The student is liable to be dismissed immediately for any serious misconduct and / or any of the any breach of the partner Institute’s rules and regulations.
A student who has been absent from lectures without approval for one month and whose fee is outstanding for that period will have his / her studentship terminated.
Terminated students will not be eligible to attend any of the classes. They are also not allowed to sit for any examination, whether internal or external, even though they may have already registered for the examinations. The partner Institute reserves the right to cancel their examinations and the examination fee recovered will be used to pay for any outstanding fees owed to the partner Institute.
Withdrawal / Deferment / Transfer
After course commencement, any stoppages must be requested in writing and subject to the partner Institute’s approval. Pro-rating of fees will not be entertained throughout the course.
student must give the partner Institute at least one month’s notice in writing for any withdrawal from any course. Otherwise, the student will need to pay the next month’s fee.
Application for deferment must be made in writing at least two weeks before the deferment takes effect.
If the application is made on medical grounds, a medical certificate endorsed by a registered practitioner must accompany it.
Official reasons such, as outstation, overseas business trips and In-Camp-Training must be supported by official documents.

Issue Of Receipts
Receipts will be issued to students upon payment of course fees. Students are advised to retain their receipt for income tax purposes.
Those who lose their receipt will charged an administrative fee if they require a letter from the partner Institute certifying their payment.
Courseware / Course Materials
All courseware / course materials provided to students for use in their programme of study are strictly to be used by the students and must not be circulated, reproduced, photocopied a nd distributed without the prior written permission from Genetic Computer School, Singapore.
Confidentiality
Students must not disseminate, communicate or discuss issues or information either directly or indirectly to other parties, which by such acts will benefit other parties and will be detrimental to the partner Institute.
The partner Institute reserves the right to terminate any student engaged in acts it deems detrimental to the Institute and to seek remedy through legal process from damages caused by such acts.
The partner Institute reserves the right to withdraw from any course if there are insuffi cient suitably qualified applicants / students.
The partner Institute who wishes to alter any course syllabus, to amend the scale of fees or any other information must request a written permission from Genetic Computer School, Singapore.
The partner Institute reserves the right to immediately expel any student for serious misconduct and / or any breach of the partner Institute’s rules and regulations. No fee is refundable on expulsion. An expelled student has to pay all outstanding payable course fees.
Students are to observe all copyright law of the software. No pirated software is allowed to be use at the partner Institute’s premises.
